Generare raises 20 million euros to close biology's data gap
French startup Generare closed a 20 million euro funding round in early April 2026. Founded in 2023, it works at the intersection of synthetic biology and artificial intelligence. Most biotech AI models train on the same recycled datasets. The insight Generare is betting on is that better data, sourced from nature rather than existing databases, unlocks better models. Data quality, not model architecture, is the constraint here.
